BUILDING AWARENESS & INSPIRING ACTION
The Virginia Early Childhood Foundation is hosting a Summit on Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma-informed and resiliency building strategies. Members of the Emporia/Greensville and surrounding communities are invited to join us for this FREE event on August 16 – 17, 2019.
We are calling on early childhood providers, teachers, and administrators, families, medical providers, educators, home-visitors, human service providers, and community business leaders to build a more resilient and responsive community that authentically and actively invests in ensuring that families thrive and all children are ready to learn!
The summit will provide knowledge of trauma and its effect on the brain and the tools needed to build resiliency and become a Resilience Champion!
FREE breakfast and lunch will be provided to all attendees. Teachers in the Emporia/Greensville school system and child care providers will earn CEUs/training hours for attending the summit.
