School Readiness Data
Data-driven decision making is one of VECF’s core principles, guiding all strategies and investments. Statewide and community level data and metrics are essential tools for informing both need and efficacy of investments in early childhood. As part of our role as partner to the state’s early childhood efforts, VECF tracks and reports statewide and local progress on key school readiness indicators on a biennial basis through the release of Virginia’s School Readiness Report Card and through the School Readiness Interactive Map Tool which is updated regularly. The 2018 School Readiness Report Card examines the effectiveness of the state’s system in supporting the school readiness of young children.
