Virginia Early Childhood Foundation Elects AOL Executive to Board

Jeff Novak, Vice President of Public Policy and Chief Litigation and Compliance Counsel for AOL in Dulles, Va., was elected to the
board of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation (VECF) at the organization’s quarterly meeting on March 16, 2016.

The Virginia Early Childhood Foundation is a public­private partnership established to
advance school readiness initiatives and quality early learning efforts across the
Commonwealth.

Novak manages public policy, compliance, and litigation for AOL and its subsidiaries.
Prior to joining AOL in 2003, he was a partner at McGuireWoods law firm and he served
as law clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Richey, U.S. District Judge for the District of
Columbia. He earned a law degree from Indiana University and holds a bachelor’s degree
from the Honors College at Ball State University. Active in the community, he chairs the
Northern Virginia Technology Council’s TechPAC and sits on the Council’s executive
committee. Also, he co­chaired Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring’s transition
team.
